Dog Park Locations

Patagonia Lake State Park near Nogales, Arizona, is a dog-friendly state park with plenty of natural beauty for you and your pup to enjoy. A 265-acre man-made lake for fishing is seen from the park. Your dog can accompany you on a trip down the stream trail to witness a variety of birds and wildlife. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and they are not allowed on the manmade beaches.

Tempe is noted for its abundance of off-leash dog parks, including this one on 5th Street, which is enclosed. Nearby are restrooms and a playground.

You and your dog will find lots of dog-friendly hiking paths to enjoy at Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, AZ, with a choice of trails to select from, several of which lead into the Superstition Wilderness. Some of the guided hikes also allow dogs to join in the fun. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Tempe Marketplace, with its 1.3 million square feet of retail, dining, and entertainment options, can keep shoppers occupied for hours. The marketplace is dominated by major chain retailers, including a PetSmart, which offers all of the necessities for Petzooie. There is a splash pad for humans to cool down in the Arizona heat, and live music is performed every Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Because this is an outdoor mall, it may become extremely hot, so avoid visiting during the hottest hours of the day.Dogs are welcome in the marketplace, but they must be on a leash that is no longer than six feet long, and individual shops determine whether or not dogs are permitted inside.

While dogs are not allowed on Piestewa Peak, they are allowed on several of the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area's routes, notably the Dreamy Draw Nature Trail. Everything from spectacular views to quiet valleys can be found in the different desert environments.

Spend some time in Scottsdale, Arizona's Scottsdale Quarter. With a wide range of chain stores and boutiques, as well as a wide range of restaurants, you're sure to find something you like and leave with your wallets a little lighter. Relax in the garden under the giant palm palms while the kids play in the interactive fountain. Later, see a movie at the high-end iPic theater, where you may have dinner in a leather reclining chair with a blanket and pillow while watching the film. Come enjoy the holiday light displays and warm up with a drink of hot chocolate from one of the cafes over the holidays.Dogs are permitted but must be leashed, and individual stores and restaurants determine whether or not dogs are permitted inside.

Cattail Cove State Park in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, offers more than 2,000 acres of dog-friendly natural wonderland for you and your dog to relax, walk, bird-watch, enjoy the dog park, or have a picnic. On the paths, Fido must be leashed at all times, but at the designated dog beach, he may be off-leash. Please be aware that pets are not permitted on the built beaches.

The city of Phoenix's first dog park has seats and large shade trees, ADA-accessible spaces for large and small dogs, ornamental wrought iron fencing, and chilled water faucets with integrated drinking bowls for dogs at ground level. The Iron King Trail (Prescott to Prescott Valley) is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a nationwide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an underused railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Fido in Prescott Valley! On the northwest corner of McQueen and Ocotillo roads is the Paseo Vista Recreation Area. It was a functional landfill for about 30 years, a vast man-made dirt mound with sloping sides towering above the streets and neighboring homes. Then Chandler made the decision to invest in this location in order to give it a new function. The slopes still dominate the landscape today, but they are now covered in decomposed granite, wildflowers, and other vegetation, as well as rocks enclosed in wire to help limit erosion. From the streets below, the majority of the amenities, such as an archery range, disc golf course, dog park, playground, picnic sites, and more than a mile of walking paths, are not visible.Residents of Chandler who take the worthwhile walk, ride, or drive to the top of the hill, on the other hand, will be able to appreciate and enjoy the Paseo Vista Recreation Area for many years.
