Wheeling Park, located in Wheeling, West Virginia, is a 406-acre park. In 1925, the park first opened its doors. Originally, the park was only open throughout the summer. The construction of an ice rink in 1959 transformed the park into a year-round destination.

Tomlinson Run State Park is located on 1,398 acres along the same-named Ohio River tributary. This state park is in Hancock County, near the panhandle's northernmost point. This is the only state park in West Virginia that has yurts available for overnight stays.

Tu-Endie-Wei State Park is located in downtown Point Pleasant, West Virginia, at the confluence of the Kanawha River and the Ohio River. The park commemorates the Battle of Point Pleasant, which took place on October 10, 1774, between Virginia's colonial militia and Shawnee Chief Cornstalk's soldiers.

The park sits off of 34th Street in Vienna, in the back of Jackson Park. Dog park in a ballpark Dugouts remain, providing a lovely shady spot to sit and watch your dog play. There are water fountains, a fenced-in area, and benches at this location.

Chief Logan State Park is a 3,988-acre state park in Logan County, West Virginia, about 4 miles north of Logan. Chief Logan, a Mingo Native American leader who resided in the area before the American Revolutionary War, was the inspiration for the park, the town, and the county.
