The Barking Bodega welcomes pets. This Tempe hotspot is the place to be for the canine community, combining the joys of farm-to-table meals with the fun of a fenced park. The cost of a daily membership is $9.95, a monthly membership is $36.95, and an annual membership is $350. The Barking Bodega is open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Creamery Park, which used to be the home of the Borden Milk Company, now has a small fenced area where dogs can play. There are water fountains and trash bag dispensers.

Within the gorgeous Papago park, there is a fenced, off-leash dog park, as well as picnic tables, a pond, a playground, and restrooms.

Tempe Beach Park, which surrounds Tempe Town Lake and has five miles of jogging, biking, and walking trails, picnic tables, grills, and ramadas, as well as restrooms, welcomes leashed pets. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

Leashed dogs are invited to accompany their owners on their explorations of Hayden Butte Preserve. This neighborhood is densely packed with restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops, and it is particularly popular with Arizona State University students. During football season, join the student throng at ASU tailgates or take a trip down to Tempe Town Lake with Petzooie and roam around the park there. Many of the restaurants have outside seating, so you and your dog may dine together. At all times, dogs must be leashed.
