The Conejo Creek Dog Park was created to benefit and entertain the community's dogs and their human families. The park is divided into two sections: one for tiny dogs (under 30 pounds) and another for large dogs (above 30 pounds) (over 30 lbs.). Dog water fountains are coupled to drinking fountains. Mutt-Mitt Dispensers, picnic tables, shade structures, benches, and lights for night use are also available. Open seven days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. (but closed every Thursday from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM and all day on the 3rd Thursday of every month).

8162. Jody Giannini Family Dog Park

Separate protected grassy spaces with seaside views are available for both little and large dogs to play off leash at this park. Vaccinations must be up to date, and dogs must be properly licensed and tagged. Take Highway 1 north out of Morro Bay and turn right at the stop sign into San Jacinto. Continue straight until you reach Ironwood Ave, then turn left onto Ironwood Ave, which leads to Del Mar Park. Follow the signage west of the parking lot, near the tennis courts, to the dog park. This is a dog park that is self-funded and maintained. Open from 8 a.m. until dusk.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an underused railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Rancho Cucamonga! If you and your dog need a break from hiking in Griffith Park, stop at Amir's Garden, where you may relax while admiring an ornamental garden. Parking at the Mineral Wells picnic area and going up the fire road for about 1/2 mile will lead you to Amir's Garden. At the midway mark, you'll pass Water Tank 73, and Amir's Garden lies on the next significant switchback. While on the paths, please keep Petzooie on a leash.

Annie's Canyon Trail is a moderate-to-strengthening 1.4 mile circle found on the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve in Solana Beach, California. Dogs are allowed on the route as long as they are clean and on a leash no more than six feet long. The tough section of the walk is not advised for pets. From sunrise to dusk, Annie's Canyon Trail is open. Owners of dogs should consult the organization's website for information on rules and trail closures.
