Bay Cruisers is a dog-friendly boat rental and tour company in Morro Bay, located adjacent to the volcanic plug Morro Rock. You and seven pals can board one of the small cruisers and take a journey around the bay; no prior experience is required to manage the simple boats. Except for sunset tours, which cost $100, boat rentals are $95 for an hour. Pets are allowed for a cost of $10.

Friedman's has opened a new, large, completely gated dog park in the Deer Creek Village shopping mall. Because the shade trees are still growing, there is no shade right now, but it's a big place, with a large central area of wood chips and an adjacent open area. There are trash cans, seats, and a sandy walking route that circles the wood-chip area.

Franklin Park welcomes dogs! Along with their human friends, leashed dogs are permitted to explore the almost fourteen-acre park. The Park today has barbecues, picnic tables, sporting fields, a clubhouse, parking, a playground, and restrooms, and was once the site of a defunct sawmill. From sunrise to dusk, Franklin Park is available to the public.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Folsom Parkway Rail-Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the organization. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Folsom!
