A par course, a 3-acre swimming lagoon, and a 72-acre lake are all part of the park. Dogs must be on a leash that is no longer than 6 feet long. It is necessary to have a license. Dogs are permitted on the grassy area surrounding the swimming lagoon, but not on the sand or beach.

Southwest Community Park welcomes dogs! The roughly twenty-acre park welcomes leashed pets to explore. Barbecues, picnic tables, sporting grounds, parking, a playground, and restrooms are all available at the park. From sunrise to dusk, Southwest Community Park is available to the public.
