This seasonally accessible route is located in the Giant National Sequoia Monument, which is part of the Sequoia National Forest in Kernville, CA, and runs through the Long Meadow Grove, which contains over 125 giant sequoias. The trees in this area are estimated to be between 500 and 1,500 years old. At all times, pets must be leashed and supervised. If you have a pet, please clean up after it. About 45 miles northwest of Kernville is where you'll find the path. Take State Mountain Road 99 north from Kernville to Johnsondale. Take Highway 50 west to the Western Divide Highway exit. The Redwood Meadow Campground is 2 miles away. The campground is across the road from the trailhead.

Scheid Vineyards is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
