The Redwood Meadow Campground is 2 miles away. The campground is across the road from the trailhead.

Scheid Vineyards' Carmel tasting location is dog-friendly and located in historic Carmel-by-the-Sea. Owners can swirl, sniff, and taste a glass of estate-grown wine or participate in one of two sampling flights. During their visit to the tasting room, dogs must be leashed. Scheid Vineyards is open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
