Dog Park Locations

From October 1st to April 30th, dogs are welcome on the beach as long as they are leashed. The remainder of the year, they are strictly prohibited.

In Grand Canyon National Park, pets are welcome. At all times, pets must be kept on a leash. Pets are permitted on the rim trails, Mather Campground, Desert View Campground, Trailer Village, and all constructed areas. Below the rim, in park housing (hotel rooms), or on park buses, pets are not permitted. Pets are not permitted on the North Rim, with the exception of the bridle route that connects the lodge to the North Kaibab Trail. Only at the South Rim is a kennel available. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. For more information, call (928) 638-0534. It is recommended that you make reservations.

The Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk Tour allows you to see Savannah through the eyes of a dog. This trip is designed and personalised just for you and your dog, and it allows you and your dog to sniff out Savannah's historical places while learning more about this lovely city. Two dogs are allowed per human, and all dogs must be leashed. The walking tour lasts around 90 minutes and includes a one-mile walk through historic Savannah. Every dog on the trip gets a complimentary bag of Oliver Bentley's unique recipe Ollie B. Biscuits as a bonus. Reservations are required for all tours. Due to the hot weather, the afternoon excursion is not available from June to September.

Although dogs are not permitted in Dollywood, visitors who are visiting the Smoky Mountains with their pets can leave Fido at Dollywood's own kennel, Doggywood, for the day while they explore the park. Individual cottages are available for pets who require a little more seclusion. Due to limited space, it is critical that you phone ahead for reservations on the day you intend to visit the park. Dogs are not allowed to stay overnight.

The freedom to explore, the white sand beachfront, the gentle lapping waves, and the clear water all contribute to happy dogs and humans. Dogs are allowed on the nature walk in addition to having their own beach on the island's southern point. While in these places, pets must be kept on a 6-foot portable leash at all times.

From April 1 to September 30, dogs on a leash are welcome in Freeman Park in Carolina Beach. Dogs are allowed off-leash from October 1 to March 31 as long as they are under voice direction and their owner is nearby. Owners must have at least two acceptable plastic or paper waste containers on hand until the rubbish can be disposed of properly. Upon request, the bags must be produced and displayed.

At this beach, dogs are free to play off-leash. Just be cautious because the place isn't completely protected.

Near the south picnic area, Haulover Beach Park has a bark park with an enclosure for little dogs (less than 35 lbs.) and large dogs (more than 35 lbs.). If travelling southbound, enter the bark park through parking lot #3 on the west side of Collins Avenue; if travelling northbound, enter through parking lot #4 on the east side of Collins Avenue. Shade trees, picnic tables, and water fountains for dogs and their partners, as well as doggie waste bag dispensers and waste containers, are all available in the bark park. Only the specified beach area between lifeguard towers #2 and #3 is open everyday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.Dogs and their owners are welcome on the section of the beach right across from the bark park, which is accessible via parking lots #3 and #4. Except in the authorised beach area, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.

On the Manasquan Inlet, Fisherman's Cove Conservation Area is the last undeveloped land. Fishing, walking on the beach, and sunbathing are all popular activities on the 55-acre estate. Dogs are welcome on the beach's eastern half, but they must be kept on a leash at all times to protect the fragile coastal ecosystem. The beach's western half has been marked as "dog free."
