Lakepoint State Park is a picturesque park located on the banks of the 45,000-acre Lake Eufaula, often known as "The Bass Capital of the World," with a full-service restaurant and café, marina, hiking trails, contemporary campsite, swimming complex, tennis courts, and playgrounds. Hiking, swimming, fishing, boating, wildlife and bird watching, camping, restaurants, a swimming pool, and picnic sites and playgrounds are just a few of the activities available. Buck's Pocket State Park is a dog-friendly state park near Oak Grove, Alabama. Situated in three counties and tucked away in a natural pocket, Buck's Pocket State Park is one of Alabama's most tranquil spots. The wide views of the park's seemingly unspoiled terrain are well-known. Petzooie is welcome to accompany you to the park as long as he or she remains on a leash. Please note that dogs are not permitted on off-road vehicle paths, horseback riding trails, the maintenance facility, designated grilling sites, or the bathhouse. Pets must never be left alone.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Chattahoochee Valley Railroad Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. Hurricane Creek Park is dog-friendly, with "a rich biodiverse forest, giant sandstones, and a magnificent 1905 railroad trestle from the region's coal mining days." Leashed dogs are invited to accompany their owners on hikes, canoe trips, and creek splashing. From dawn to sunset, the Park is open.
