Dog Park Locations

Picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, jogging, and bird viewing are all available at Thunderbird Conservation Park, a 1,185-acre park in the Hedgpeth Hills committed to protecting the desert ecosystem in Glendale, Arizona. Thanks to the efforts of various volunteer groups, almost 15 miles of multi-use trails have been built.

A Day In The West Jeep Tours welcomes your pet to accompany you on a gorgeous four-wheel-drive Jeep tour. The Mogollon Rim Tour, which takes you to an elevation of 7,500 feet and affords spectacular panoramic views of the Sedona environment, is one of many private, guided tours available in and around the Coconino National Forest for you and your dog. The wilderness Outlaw Jeep Tour, the Red Rock West Tour's magnificent sunset journey through the Dry Creek Basin, and the Diamondback Tour's challenging 4x4 trek through the western canyon backcountry are also popular tours. The duration of the tour varies from 90 minutes to three hours.

At Christopher Columbus Park, your pet will enjoy playing off-leash. A shaded area with a ramada, trash station, climbing area, and a Petzooie fountain are all part of this one-acre lit park. Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., we are closed for maintenance.

On walks up Shaw Butte, hikers are welcome to bring their leashed pets. Shaw Butte is located directly north of North Mountain and is part of the Phoenix Mountain Preserves. A trek to Shaw Butte rewards hikers with spectacular vistas of North Mountain, Piestewa Peak, and Lookout Mountain, as well as stunning views of Phoenix. Hikers have a range of trail options to select from. All hiking trails in Phoenix are subject to leash rules, and pets must be leashed at all times.

Upper Lake Mary is one of two constructed lakes near Flagstaff, Arizona, and is part of the Coconino National Forest Recreation Area. It is popular for swimming, boating, and other water activities. In most places of the park, dogs are welcome. There are numerous parking lots along the road where you can park and walk down to the lake.

Dogs weighing less than twelve pounds are allowed at Scottsdale Fashion Square if they are held or pushed in a stroller. Of course, service dogs are welcome to accompany you on your stroll. This is a more upscale shopping center with 240 stores (and counting), an indoor playground, food court, and movie theater. Bring your walking shoes because you'll be walking a lot. Individual companies (especially movie theaters and restaurants) reserve the right to refuse entry to dogs. The Fashion Square is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Individual business hours are subject to change.

Your dog will be ecstatic to be allowed to accompany you on a leash around this incredible aviation and space museum, which houses over 400 planes and spacecraft. At the museum, dogs are welcome. Although dogs are not permitted on the AMARG or tram tours, they are welcome to accompany you on the tour.

Catalina State Park is a dog-friendly state park in Tucson, Arizona, located at the base of the gorgeous Santa Catalina Mountains. With over 5,500 acres of foothills, canyons, and streams, Catalina State Park offers plenty of hiking, bicycling, and birding paths for you and your dog to enjoy. The Brass Armadillo is a great place for antique collectors to get lost in the aisles for hours. This is the biggest number of antique dealers in the desert valley, with approximately 600. Bring your walking shoes with you. Dogs of any size are welcome as long as they are well behaved and on a leash.

Bushmaster Park's Barkmaster Dog Park is 1.5 acres of fenced-in land. A separate space for little dogs is included in the off-leash park.
