On a hike up North Mountain, leashed dogs are welcome to accompany their owners. North Mountain is a part of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and is one of the more easily accessible mountains. Choose from a peak ascent or a variety of trails ranging in difficulty. Hikers can get a good glimpse of the Phoenix skyline. The trail varies in difficulty from a pleasant paved road to rocky, somewhat steep climbs. On the hiking trails in Phoenix, leash rules apply, and pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Make sure you have plenty of water for yourself and Petzooie.

The Lookout Mountain Preserve offers a variety of hiking paths. All trails in Phoenix are subject to leash rules, thus dogs must be leashed at all times. These mountains are the lesser cousins of the more well-known North Mountain region, which is located just to the south. It offers a chance to hike to a peak and enjoy vistas without the crowds and substantial elevation rises of nearby Piestewa Peak and North Mountain.

This 2.5-acre off-leash dog park is a fantastic area for your pet to meet new people. There are separate spaces for little and large dogs in the park, which is securely gated. Benches, trees, drinking fountains, and garbage and waste bag dispensers can be found in each location. Water fountains, a separate small dog area, garbage bags, and shade trees are all included. While dogs are not allowed on Piestewa Peak, they are allowed on several of the Dreamy Draw Recreation Area's routes, notably the Dreamy Draw Nature Trail. Everything from spectacular views to quiet valleys can be found in the different desert environments.

Bring Petzooie to the Saturday Farmers' Market at RoadRunner Park to buy locally grown produce, baked goods, honey, jams and jellies, nursery stock, natural pork, beef, and seafood, as well as handcrafted crafts. Dogs that are well-behaved and on a leash are welcome.

There are separate spaces for large and little dogs, shade trees, seats, and cool running water in this gorgeous, fully-fenced off-leash dog park. Any pet waste must be picked up right away by the owner. Dog waste dispensers called Mutt Mitts can be seen in both the large and small dog sections.
