Spend the day with Petzooie at Franklin Canyon Park, which spans 605 acres. A 2.5-mile round trip hike takes you around Franklin Canyon Lake and Heavenly Pond, as well as up the Chaparral Trail. The height gain of 325 feet leads to spectacular views of Franklin Canyon.

Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park in San Diego, CA, has a fenced, off-leash dog park that is a terrific area for your pet to meet new people. The park is walled and features paths, a drinking fountain, picnic tables, and a panoramic view of Rattlesnake Canyon.

The Sunset Trail in the Laguna Mountain Recreation Area is an easy, dog-friendly 3.25 mile hike that will take around 2 hours to complete with Petzooie. You can also do the 9.2 mile roundtrip out-and-back (connecting with the Big Laguna Trail). Parking is available on the shoulder on either side of Sunrise Highway (SR-1) near mile marker 19.1. Big Laguna is the place to go if you want to avoid the crowds and take your dog somewhere he can run off-leash. This hiker-only track is a terrific way to get a taste of this beautiful location, which is reminiscent of the Rocky Mountains.

Franklin Canyon Park is a 605-acre park located in the heart of Los Angeles. Chaparral, grasslands, and oak woodlands, a three-acre lake, an ADA-accessible duck pond, vast picnic sites, and over five miles of hiking paths are all found within the park's limits. Birds in the Pacific flyway use the lake and pond as a permanent and seasonal habitat. The Sooky Goldman Nature Center, the Sam Goldman Amphitheater, and the Eugene and Michael Rosenfeld Auditorium are among the park's attractions. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

The Polliwog Park Dog Run is located near to Begg Field on the west end of Polliwog Park. The largest dog run in Manhattan Beach, at 5,900 square feet. At any given moment, there should be no more than two dogs in the run. Please leave the run after no more than 15 minutes if others are waiting. Dogs are allowed on leash in designated pathways that run parallel to Begg Pool and the soccer field.
