The trail is simple and shady, totally surrounded by meadows and big pine trees, and is located at the 19.1 mile marker on Sunrise Hwy off of I-8. In the heart of Laguna Meadow, a huge basin, stands a charming tiny lake known as Water-of-the-Woods. It is necessary to have an Adventure Pass.

Dogs are allowed at the campground, picnic areas, and on the paved roads at D. They are permitted on the beaches and dirt pathways of L. Bliss State Park, but not on the beaches. South Lake Tahoe attracts visitors from all over the world who come to enjoy the crystal clear waters in the summer and the snow-capped mountains in the winter. Keep in mind that you must keep Petzooie on a leash no more than six feet long for the length of your visit to the park. D. L. Bliss State Park is open every day from sunrise to dusk.
