South Elgin's Dog Park is located in County Park (225 S Water Street), immediately south of SEBA Park and behind the Trolley Museum. The dog park is a converted ballfield with completely enclosed fence in a tranquil, attractive location. Parking spaces near the dog park and a walking bridge from the SEBA Park parking lot lead to the park. The Trolley Museum will also have parking accessible for this event.

With the help of the Dog Park Advisory Committee and other private benefactors, the Dog Park was built in 2003. The 10-acre facility is open from sunrise to sunset and is designed specifically for dogs to go off leash. It features a shady grove of trees as well as numerous open grassland sections.
