Leashed dogs are accepted on paved roads, parking lots, campgrounds, and picnic areas in Mount Tamalpais State Park. Only dogs are permitted in these places. Deep gorges, sweeping slopes, cool redwood forests, oak woodlands, and open grasslands make up the State Park. Petzooie must sleep in a tent or a truck at night. From 7 a.m. to sunset, Mount Tamalpais State Park is open. There is no entrance fee; however, many trailhead parking fees are only payable in cash.
2. Mill Valley-Sausalito Path

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Mill Valley-Sausalito Path, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now an excellent spot to walk Petzooie.
