From 7 a.m. to sunset, Mount Tamalpais State Park is open. There is no entrance fee; however, many trailhead parking fees are only payable in cash.

The Larkspur Path (Corte Madera-Larkspur Path) is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a nationwide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Corte Madera! On the designated trails of this Larkspur park, leashed pets are accepted. Due to repairs, an off-leash dog park is now closed.
