The 0.14-acre dog park features surrounding fence and is designed to accommodate both large and small dogs. A drinking fountain for both dogs and people, as well as a bench and trash bag dispensers, are among the other amenities. The dog park is fully accessible to those with disabilities.

Long Beach residents who live near the East Village Arts District and the shore may now walk to a new off-leash dog recreation area and socialize with their neighbors and dogs. On December 12, 2015, the Seaside Dog Zone opened its doors.

The 1.5-acre off-leash dog park in northeast Long Beach is the city's first. It is Ada Accessible, with a double-gate entrance, a drinking fountain, seats, and waste bag dispensers, as well as a separation between large and small dog sections. On February 8, 2014, the dog park officially opened.

Behind the Casting Pond, off 7th Street and Federation Drive, is the Recreation Park Dog Park. It is open till 10 p.m. every day. Leash-free running is permitted in this area near the casting pond for licensed dogs over the age of four months. Owners are responsible for their dogs and must monitor them at all times, as is the case with all dog parks.

Rosie's Dog Beach is located on Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach, California, between Roycroft and Argonne Avenues. This location is unfenced and not designated as a "dog beach." Although some bags are offered in dispensers, customers are encouraged to bring their own. The Dog Zone is in force every day from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to a particular event or poor beach conditions, Rosie's Dog Beach may be closed on occasion. Dogs are not allowed outside of regular hours or in areas other than the Dog Zone and access trails. More dog beach guidelines can be found on the website.

The Downtown Dog Park is now located at Broadway and Pacific in Lincoln Park. There are areas for large and small dogs, as well as benches for their owners, free doggy waste bags, and double entry and exit gates.

Wrigley Heights Dog Park has an entry/vestibule area where dogs can be unleashed or held while entering or exiting the dog park section. There are dog waste bags, separate trash receptacles, chairs, and a water fountain. Mondays before noon, the park may be closed for repairs.
