Animal Shelters

The non-profit SPCA of Northern Nevada is funded by private donations, program fees, revenues from thrift stores, foundation grants, and special events. We are not connected to any other SPCAs, and neither the ASPCA nor any other governmental bodies sponsor us. Your donation matters!

An independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Nevada SPCA. Through individual donations, foundation funding, special events, and fundraising efforts, the community supports us in full. We have no connections to any other SPCA. We do not accept funds from any government contracts, and we are not a local chapter of the ASPCA.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to rescue animals in need and run low-cost spay/neuter clinics in the Nevadan communities of Pahrump and Nye County.

In Fallon, Nevada, there is a tiny, nonprofit animal shelter called the Churchill Animal Protection Society (CAPS). Since August 1986, CAPS has provided assistance to Churchill County citizens.

Three lovely exercise yards are available for our furry companions to play in at the Elko Animal Shelter. Potential adopters can meet, interact with, and get to know the dogs in these yards before making an adoption decision. Before adopting an animal, adopters are highly advised to spend some time getting to know it to make sure it is a good fit for their family.

Our main goal is to put out our best positive effort. The energy that enables us to perform life-saving work is provided by our personnel, volunteers, and foster families.

A charity, non-profit organization, Nevada Humane Society the sole no-kill shelter with open entry in Nevada. Every year, we provide aid to more than 18,000 stray or abandoned animals. serving the people of Northern Nevada for more than 90 years.

Center for Canine Rehabilitation and Cat Sanctuary was started in March 2011 by Kristen Ivey. Years ago, Kristen got active in animal welfare as a volunteer for a busy shelter and on her own, she'd saved and/or placed a few dogs with special needs. During those years, she managed a different business, but she liked her time volunteering with shelter dogs, organizing playgroups, and co-teaching workshops with other volunteers.

We are a sanctuary even though we often have a lot of cats who are very adoptable. Many of our cats are either older (8 years and up) or reserved around strangers. Despite the fact that many of them are great cats with the potential to make fantastic companions and housecats, it takes more time and careful work to win their trust and assist them in acclimating to a new environment.
