Bring Petzooie along for a self-guided jeep tour where you can stop whenever and wherever you choose throughout the day instead of being rushed along a route by a paid guide and possibly with other families crammed in with you. Make sure you order a pet-friendly jeep, which will come equipped with a blanket to cover the seats as well as a cooler and ice for the day. Knowledgeable staff will provide you with trail maps and ideas ranging from novice to "adventurous," as well as navigational tips and hints.

This well-kept dog park is a terrific location for your pet to run about and play off-leash. The area northeast of the softball complex at Foothills Park, 57th Avenue and Union Hills Drive, is accessible from the Foothills Library parking lot. Northern Horizon Park, located on the corner of 63rd and Northern Avenues, features a big fenced-in play area, a small dog play area, drinking fountains, shade trees, seats, and trash stations. This is the largest dog park in Glendale. On Mondays, this dog park is closed.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is a dog-friendly state park and trail in Cottonwood, Arizona. You and your dog can enjoy hiking, canoeing, picnicking, fishing, and other activities while exploring more than 420 acres of the established portion of Dead Horse Ranch State Park. At all times, dogs must be kept on a leash.

Spend an afternoon in Scottsdale, Arizona's Eldorado Park, which spans sixty acres and has something for everyone in the family. Take Petzooie for a walk around the lake on the greenbelt walking trail. Let the human children play on the playground or go for a dip in the pool. Take in a soccer game on the recreation fields before stopping for a family picnic at one of the picnic sites. At all times, dogs must be leashed.

To visit the wetlands, you'll need a permit. Permits are valid for three months and can be obtained by calling Heather Finden at the number listed. For their own safety and the conservation of the wetlands, dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.Because there is no shade, it is preferable to visit the wetlands early in the day during hot months, especially if you have a dog with you. The trail is dirt with tiny pebbles on it. There are no drinking facilities on site, so make sure you and your dog have enough of water.
