Dog Park Locations

Bring Petzooie to the area's first off-leash dog park. This facility provides a safe environment for dogs and their owners to exercise and interact. The park includes a 2-acre play area with separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as water stations, benches, paved walking routes, double gate entry, and other amenities. The city manages the park, which is overseen by the Animal Services Department.

From Bryce Davis Park, take a route to IAMS Dog Park. A pavilion, picnic tables, trash stations, benches, and a water fountain are all available at this 3-acre dog park. There is a section for little dogs and pups, as well as a section for larger dogs. Playgrounds and basketball courts, as well as restrooms and extra picnic spots, are all available at the park. Swimming in the surrounding pond is not recommended due to algae.

The Ozark National Forest is a 1.2 million-acre forest in western Arkansas' Ozark Mountains. The St. Francis National Forest in eastern Arkansas encompasses slightly over 22,000 acres, making it one of the country's smallest national forests. Hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, and scenic drives are just a few of the outdoor activities available at both parks. Both parks accept dogs, however they must be kept on leashes in the campsite sections.

A clean, off-leash dog park with both sunny and shady areas to play is available at Lake Wilson Park. The park has a total area of 320 acres, with 28 acres of water. Boating, fishing, wildlife watching, picnics, and hiking are all available to park visitors. With views of the lake and historic rock formations, the nature route winds almost entirely through the woods. In the spring, there are also a lot of lovely wildflowers!

Visit dog-friendly Frontier Town in Cave Creek, Arizona, to immerse yourself in the Wild West and take a stroll through this old western town. Frontier Town's costume performers usually put on entertaining wild west-themed shows and family-friendly reenactments. Timberline Firearms and Training is a dog-friendly store in Flagstaff, Arizona, where leashed dogs are welcome to accompany you while you purchase. Firearms, holsters, magazines, cleaning supplies, gun safes, and optics are all available for purchase.

Love's Travel Stop is a dog-friendly gas station and rest stop near Joseph City, Arizona. Love's Travel Stops are located all throughout the United States and provide facilities for traveling dogs. A completely fenced dog park with a convenient waste station is available at this site.

Copper Still Distillery, a dog-friendly activity, welcomes Petzooie to join you for unique beverages. You and Petzooie are encouraged to enjoy a large assortment of flavored moonshine, vodka, whiskey, gin, and rum on the front or back patios of this tiny family-owned distillery. Copper Still has a complete bar and serves delicious seasonal creative cocktails that you can prepare at home using spirits purchased on site. While you relax with a great refreshing summer cocktail or a whiskey-infused winter warmer, light refreshments are offered.

The dog-friendly Wanderlust Brewing Company in Flagstaff, Arizona, welcomes Fido on the patio or inside the brewery. They provide a large assortment of craft beers brewed locally, as well as non-alcoholic beverages and beer to go. Throughout the year, enjoy local bands, movie nights, and other sponsored activities. Petzooie is invited to accompany you on a tour to Pipe Spring National Monument, which is located in Fredonia, Arizona. Learn about how Native Americans, Mormon pioneers, plants, and animals relied on this life-giving water supply at Pipe Spring. Outside areas, such as pathways and walkways, are dog-friendly, but they are not permitted inside historic structures. Visitors are encouraged to pick up after their pets and use the garbage cans located throughout the monument. Inside the Visitor Center, guests are welcome to talk with a Ranger who will explain how to access the monument with Petzooie and introduce you to the B.A.R.K. Ranger program.
