The conductor will entertain you with the history of the railroad and its engines, which were originally used to move gigantic redwood logs out of the forest, as you ride down the ancient, twisting narrow-gauge railway to the summit of Bear Mountain. Daily tours are available, with departure hours varying depending on the season.
