The Big Red Barn's Murray Family Farms Fruit Stand welcomes dogs! Bring Petzooie with you when you go grocery shopping for fresh fruits and vegetables. 18 varieties of cherries, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, apples, oranges, artichokes, asparagus, tomatoes, and pumpkins are among the seasonal favorites. A variety of jams, jellies, pies, jerky, baked products, and snacks are also available. Murray Family Farms is one of the rare fruit stands where the majority of the things sold are grown on the premises. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and are not allowed in the petting zoo, the paid agrotourism area (save for one weekend a year when they host a Dog Days event), or the store.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Juanita Cooke Greenbelt Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. With Petzooie, the Satwiwa Loop Trail is a 2.5-mile easy trek in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area that takes around 1.5 hours to complete. This beautiful climb is near to the city but feels like you've stepped into another universe. The trail provides some of the best views of roadrunners, prairie falcons, hawks, rabbits, deer, and coyotes in the area. The trail is designed for hikers only.
