A fenced-in park where dogs are allowed to run free. There is a children's play area nearby, as well as a ball field, basket ball court, walking routes, and a wetland preserve. This is a fantastic spot for the entire family. Since it first opened five years ago, I've been bringing my dog here.

The dog-friendly Martin Luther King Promenade in San Diego, CA, is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to creating a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in San Diego!

Petzooie will take about 1.5 hours to accomplish an easy 0.6 mile stroll at Nojoqui Falls County Park. The falls that this walk leads to are a lovely hidden gem that few outsiders are aware of. The park itself is well-equipped, with many huge picnic spots, playgrounds, restrooms, barbecues, parking, and other amenities.
