The Dragoon Gulch Trail can be found in Sonora, California. The current trail network, named after a group of dragoons (US Army cavalry soldiers) who formerly mined the area for gold, offers visitors a unique opportunity to wander through the Mother Lode's lovely oak woodlands. The 2.5-mile circle walk follows a natural creek up to a vista with a breathtaking view of Sonora's Historic Downtown and neighboring mountain ranges. The routes vary in intensity, making it ideal for both casual walkers and those looking for a challenging hike. There are two entrances, one of which is designated as an ADA access with parking and paved trails. On the trail, dogs must be on a leash.
7804. Sugarloaf Mountain Trail
The 11.6-mile Sugarloaf Mountain Trail in San Bernardino National Forest is dog-friendly and tough. Hiking this summit, which is the highest outside of the National Forest, does not require a permit. This walk will take you through the alpine forest on a rocky path. Bring plenty of water and inspect Petzooie's paws on a regular basis. Due to weather circumstances, this location may be closed for the season. During the winter, the parking lot is closed, but you can park on 38th Street, which is two miles away.

Grandview Park is a favorite of locals and visitors alike, featuring spectacular vistas, a modest network of pathways, and a dune plant community. The majority of the ascent is made up of wooden stairs, with a brief soft-soil track around the summit of the hill. Please keep on the trail at all times because the dune community is highly vulnerable. At all times, dogs must be leashed.
