Dog Park Locations

Visitors can take a beautiful ride up to Chateau Potelle, a winery with excellent wines and a lovely picnic place. Dogs are allowed!

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Sacramento River Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Redding! The trailhead for the Sacramento River Trail is shown on the map below.

Mount Islip Trail is a 5.5-mile moderately easy climb in the Angeles National Forest that will take Petzooie about 2.5 hours to accomplish. This trail permits folks who don't have much time to get to the top of a significant peak to accomplish so. The mountain is named after George Islip, a homesteader who is said to have spent a lot of time at the peak.

Papapietro Perry Winery specializes in small-lot Zinfandel and Pinot Noir from single vineyards. In the company of delightful people and Nola, the winery dog, enjoy great wine and cuisine. Dogs must be on a leash.

Salt Point State Park's campgrounds and picnic areas are dog-friendly. Beautiful panoramic vistas, coves, open meadows, woodlands, and prairies are all part of the park's appeal. When out and about, Petzooie must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet long and must sleep inside your tent or vehicle at night. From 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Salt Point State Park is open.

The Tap and Cellar is a dog-friendly venue. Outside, on the dog-friendly patio, pets are allowed to join their owners. This farm-to-table bar features 23 wines from Saviez Vineyards, Spirit Horse Wine, and Vermeil Wines, as well as 25 craft beers on tap, including Faction, Modern Times, North Coast, Coronado, Almanac, and others. They also have live music events on the weekends to keep you and your dog entertained as you sip your beverage. Monday through Wednesday, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Thursday, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On-leash pets are welcome at this large park, which is a favorite among local dog trainers.
