Franklin Street Park covers a total of.15 acres. Borough Council approved the City Light Fellowship Church's request to build and operate a Community Garden in March of 2019. The raised beds will be visible in the park in the coming weeks.

Some consider the 26-acre Runway Dog Exercise Area to be the "best and largest dog park in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin," and in this country, that means a lot. Milwaukee County, in fact, has four "combined areas for all dogs," which means the big Woof and the little Woof romp together at Bay View, Currie, Granville, and Roverwest.
