ElmWoof Dog Park is a 0.3-acre green space at 2100 S Edegfield Avenue in Oak Cliff that is being considered as the first dog park south of the Trinity River by the City of Dallas. It is expected to become a defining recreational feature of City Council District 1's Elmwood neighborhood, with the goal of providing an off-leash public space for dogs, encouraging responsible pet stewardship, educating the community about adoption and vaccination services, and stimulating economic development along the "Downtown Elmwood" commercial district. Waggin' Tails Dog Park is a 2.5-acre park with large and small dog areas. The park is open throughout normal operating hours. Wednesdays are closed for mowing and maintenance. When the park is rainy, icy, or otherwise unsafe, it closes without warning.
