501. West Side Rails Hull Creek to Clavey River

The West Side Rails Hull Creek to Clavey River is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a nationwide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now an excellent area to walk Petzooie in MI Wuk Village! The map below shows a parking spot with easy access to the Hull Creek to Clavey River West Side Rails.

We're a small farm in the area that specializes in pasture-raised meats, which we sell in our store and through our CSA. Grass-fed beef, pasture-raised pork, pasture-raised chicken, and seasonal turkey are among the products we offer. We also sell raw organic dog wood, bones, and snacks. Dogs are welcome to explore around 300 acres as long as they remain leashed.
Members and their guests are free; day permits are $10 per person; children under the age of 12 are free.

At the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, CA, there is a tiny off-leash dog park in McKinley Square. Dog owners should be aware that the dog run area is on steep, rough terrain.

Tahoe is clearly pet-friendly. People and groups can float around in fully translucent kayaks thanks to this incredible tour company. Paddle around Lake Tahoe with your dog and enjoy the crystal clear waters, snow-capped mountains, and breathtaking scenery! Reservations are necessary. Pets are only permitted on a few tours.

This natural park allows pets to run and play off-leash as long as they have a city off-leash permit. Because the location is not fenced, exercise caution.

The San Fernando Road Bike Path is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a statewide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Sylmar! A parking lot with easy access to the San Fernando Road Bike Path is shown on the map below.

Pets are welcome at Russian Gulch State Park. This park, which is two miles north of Mendocino, features a three-mile lush canyon, windswept headlands, and gorgeous beaches. West of Highway 1, dogs are allowed in the campground, beach, and trails. Fern Canyon Trail and trails east of Highway 1 are dog-free zones.
