Bernal Hill Dog Park at Bernal Heights

This dog park is one of San Francisco's largest, with lots of space for on- and off-leash activity. The terrain is steep but beautiful. Plastic bags are available at both park entrances, at the parking lot at the intersection of Folsom and Bernal Heights (north entrance) or at the dead end of Bernal Heights (south entrance) (south entrance).

Holly Park

Bernal Heights' best hidden secret is this lovely little park. It's a terrific area for dogs to socialize and play catch with their owners. It's also a fantastic area for dog owners to meet up with other dog owners. Although posted signs state that dogs must be kept on a leash, most people let their dogs run free. The beauty of this park is that owners pick up after their dogs, and dogs are amazingly friendly toward other dogs and people, perhaps because it is a tiny park and owners are near by. The park is primarily made up of grass, with walkways and numerous trees. At the top of the hill, there is a fenced-in baseball pitch, two fenced-in kiddie playgrounds, and fenced-in BBQ places.
