American River Bike Trail (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail)

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Folsom Parkway Rail-Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the organization. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Folsom! A parking lot with easy access to the Folsom Parkway Rail-Trail is shown on the map below.

There are three fully gated areas at Phoenix Dog Park: one for large dogs, one for little and timid dogs, and one for senior dogs, dogs recovering from injuries, and dogs who are less socialized. There are also water bowls, trees, a garbage station, and benches in the park.

In a specified part of this park, located on Creekside Drive, dogs are allowed to play off-leash.

In this gorgeous park, your pet is invited to join you on-leash as you explore this intriguing lake while taking in the landscape of the Sierra Foothills.

This nice off-leash dog park is completely gated and includes a small dog area, benches, tables, shade trees, pools, hoses, and a water spigot.

On the walking pathways of Maidu Park, dogs are accepted on a leash.
