Folsom Lake State Recreation Area

In a specified part of this park, located on Creekside Drive, dogs are allowed to play off-leash.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Folsom Parkway Rail-Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the organization. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Folsom! A parking lot with easy access to the Folsom Parkway Rail-Trail is shown on the map below.

Bring your dog to FIDO Field Dog Park, Folsom's off-leash dog park, for some exercise and socialization. Small and large dogs have distinct play areas in the park.

The American River Bike Trail (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail) is a multi-use trail in Orangevale that is perfect for walking Petzooie! A parking lot with easy access to the American River Bike Trail is shown on the map below (Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail).

This nice off-leash dog park is completely gated and includes a small dog area, benches, tables, shade trees, pools, hoses, and a water spigot.

On the walking pathways of Maidu Park, dogs are accepted on a leash.
