Dog Park Locations

The South Fork Dry Lake Trail in the San Bernardino National Forest is a challenging 11-mile hike that will take Petzooie roughly 6.5 hours to accomplish. This dog-friendly route includes a spacious parking lot and is easily accessible. The creek has a lot of water in the spring and early summer, but it dries out later in the year. If there has been a lot of rain, there will be a lot of wild flowers.

Central Park Lake Elizabeth, located in the heart of Fremont, offers a range of activities as well as stunning views of the Mission Peak Hills and Lake Elizabeth. Central Park is 450 acres in size, featuring an 80-acre lake and a 2-mile pedway that around the lake. Chambers Park at Lake Cuyamaca is a dog-friendly park near Julian, California, about an hour north of San Diego. The park's lake is flanked on three sides by the 26,000-acre Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, which is located at an elevation of 4600 feet in an Oak and Pine forest. The main track, which runs from the Chambers Park sign across the dike to the thick pines on Fletcher Island, is an easy 3.5-mile trip. The lake is surrounded by picnic tables. Leashed dogs are welcome to accompany their owners on a walk as long as they pick up after themselves to keep the lake clean.

Bring your dog to upper Redwood Canyon's grassy area for some off-leash fun. A leash-free permit is necessary.

In the evenings, many neighborhood pet owners bring their four-legged pals to the grassy field adjacent to the playground for some outdoor fun.

Shields Peak Trail is a 12.2-mile hike in the San Bernardino National Forest that takes about 7.5 hours with Petzooie to accomplish. On any trail, getting into the San Gorgonio Wilderness and to the San Bernardino Divide is challenging. On this trail, even the most well-trained dogs will struggle. This walk has two springs, however you should bring extra water and inspect your dog's paws frequently.
