Buttonwood Farm & Winery

In the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley American Viticultural Appellation (AVA), a 39-acre vineyard sits on a historic riverbank high above the Alamo Pintado creek bed, which is unique due to its transverse orientation. Warm air from the adjacent San Rafael mountain meets cool Pacific winds from the west, creating the perfect climate for Bordeaux and Rhone varieties. During the growth season, warm days and bright sunlight create an ideal environment, and the significant diurnal transition to chilly temperatures at night helps keep the grapes' natural acidity. The Tasting Room's comfortable and bright atmosphere invites you to sample the wines, relax on the patio, or take a stroll through the garden.A $10 sampling fee is charged, which includes a crystal stem glass. In the tasting room and in the gardens, dogs are welcome. Please be aware that this is a working farm with resident dogs that are free to wander. Guests are asked to be considerate of other visitors who may have canine allergies or phobias.
