1. Ojai Valley Trail
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Ojai Valley Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Ventura! A parking lot with easy access to the Ojai Valley Trail is shown on the map below.
2. Ventura River Trail (Ojai Valley Trail Extension)
The Ventura River Trail (Ojai Valley Trail Extension) is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a countrywide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Ventura! Arroyo Verde Park, located near Foothill and Day Road in Ventura, welcomes leashed dogs. There are 14 acres of open grass spaces, picnic sites, a nature center, hiking trails, restrooms, and children's play places spread over 132 acres of very mountainous country.
