Camino Real Park

Arroyo Verde Park, located near Foothill and Day Road in Ventura, welcomes leashed dogs. There are 14 acres of open grass spaces, picnic sites, a nature center, hiking trails, restrooms, and children's play places spread over 132 acres of very mountainous country.

The Ventura River Trail (Ojai Valley Trail Extension) is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a charity dedicated to building a countrywide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and connecting corridors. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Ventura! The trailhead for the Ventura River Trail is shown on the map below (Ojai Valley Trail Extension).

Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach until 9 a.m. at Hollywood Beach in Oxnard, California. as well as after 5:00 p.m.

There are different sections for large and little dogs in this lovely dog park. Dog agility equipment and human benches are also available. For a price, there is also a washroom.
