Our first priority is the kitties in our custody. We therefore think it is important to find them a "Forever Home". We put a lot of effort into finding each cat a permanent home where he or she will thrive. Cats can live up to 20 years, so it's crucial to consider how long-lasting your dedication to this animal and its care will be.

Operating a no-kill animal shelter with no age or time constraints is the goal of Animal Shelter Inc. For abandoned, unwanted, maltreated, and neglected animals, the shelter offers compassionate housing and top-notch medical care. Until they find a loving, permanent home, these animals are protected at our shelters and foster homes.

One of Southeastern Massachusetts' busiest animal shelters is located in Mansfield. The shelter enjoys a stellar reputation and one of the highest adoption rates.

A non-profit, no-kill organization, The Purr-fect Cat Shelter (PCS) is entirely volunteer run. With the ultimate goal of finding each cat a permanent home, it was founded to give cats temporary refuge and care. Accepted cats stay in the shelter for as long as is necessary; they are not put to sleep just because they haven't found a home yet.

We operate a no-kill facility. Over 400 cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies are adopted annually by the Animal Rescue League of Fall River, which also saves the lives of hundreds of other animals each year. No animal is put to death unless a veterinarian recommends it to alleviate or avoid pain and suffering caused by a terminal, incurable sickness or physical condition.

The Massachusetts Southcoast is served by the no-kill, 501c3 organization known as CARE Southcoast. While cats can be seen in our shelter in Acushnet, Massachusetts, where we also house the majority of kittens and some special needs cats, all of our dogs are in foster care. Our efforts are concentrated on animals that wouldn't fare well in conventional shelters. Our aim also includes training dogs with behavioral issues, trap-neuter-release (TNR) of feral cats, and preventing the rehoming of owned animals through education.

Dogs are the focus of Forever Home Rescue New England, a 501c organization. When doing transportation and adoptions, we adhere to all Massachusetts state regulations.

In Plymouth's Cedarville neighborhood, there is a town facility called the Animal Shelter. For Plymouth's stray and abandoned cats and dogs, we offer shelter.
