Dog Park Locations

On-leash pets are accepted on selected hiking trails in this lovely park, which includes spectacular waterfalls.

Separate sections for small and large dogs, cement benches, shaded places, and water spigots may all be found in Whittier Dog Park. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset, with the exception of Thursdays, when it opens at 11:00 a.m. for park maintenance.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Ojai Valley Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Ojai! A parking lot with easy access to the Ojai Valley Trail is shown on the map below.

The Cleghorn Ridge OHV Trail in the San Bernardino National Forest is a relatively simple, dog-friendly 12.2 mile trip that will take around 4 hours to accomplish with Petzooie. The trail is open all year and is largely used for ohv/off-road driving. You'll reach the top of a nice ridgeline after a steady climb.

This little off-leash dog park in San Francisco's Bernal Heights district has both grassy areas and a paved path with bench seating.

Petzooie can play off-leash at Mount San Miguel Dog Park! There are separate sections for large and little dogs, as well as water for both dogs and humans and benches in the Dog Park. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after until they enter the gated area.

On hot days, owners often bring wading pools to this enormous, walled off-leash dog park, which is full of mountainous terrain.

Southwest Community Park welcomes dogs! The roughly twenty-acre park welcomes leashed pets to explore. Barbecues, picnic tables, sporting grounds, parking, a playground, and restrooms are all available at the park. From sunrise to dusk, Southwest Community Park is available to the public.
