Dog Park Locations

As long as pets are on-leash, they will feel right at home in this popular local public park. Take a look at the work of the local art students!

Dogs on leashes are permitted at the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit. Many dogs enjoy playing in the snow, and fit dogs will enjoy accompanying you on short cross-country or snowshoeing excursions. Dogs must be kept on a 6-foot leash and wear identity tags.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Electric Avenue Median Park, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Seal Beach! The trailhead for the Electric Avenue Median Park is shown on the map below.

Despite the fact that it is not an official dog park, residents have volunteered to maintain this peaceful neighborhood park as a safe and clean place for their pets to play.

Trails lead into the redwoods from a tranquil area. Because there are houses between the woods and the roadway, it is safe to let your dog off the leash. Many dogs will be off leash, however mountain bikers should be avoided.

Leashed dogs are welcome to accompany you for a walk in Girsch Park in Goleta, CA. Goleta Valley Dog Club offers agility courses and obedience training at the park.

Dogs on leashes are welcome throughout Ragle Ranch Regional Park, but your pooch can take a break from her tether at the Animal Care Center of Sonoma County Dog Park, which is located within the park. Despite the lack of a separate space for small and large dogs, there is a daily 'Small Dog Hour,' with the park reserved for dogs weighing 30 pounds or less.

Venteux Vineyards is the ideal location for you and your four-legged companions. A tasting room, winery, vineyard, and bed and breakfast are all located on their 10-acre property.
