Mulholland Drive's unpaved section offers a 2-mile round way stroll up San Vicente Mountain that climbs only 330 feet. Bring Petzooie along for a trek and a lunch among the old structures' chairs and tables. On the mountain, there are also facilities and a water fountain.

In a peaceful area, the City of Moorpark Dog Park is a completely gated dog park. Before entering the park, all dogs must be licensed and vaccinated. Children under the age of six are not permitted.

Mission Creek Preserve in Desert Hot Springs, California, is a dog-friendly nature preserve with historic structures and a dusty pathway where you can stroll your leashed dog. You'll see ancient structures and beautiful desert plant groups along the way, all with the backdrop of Southern California's tallest peak. Remember to clean up after your dog.

Bernal Heights' best hidden secret is this lovely little park. It's a terrific area for dogs to socialize and play catch with their owners. It's also a fantastic area for dog owners to meet up with other dog owners. Although posted signs state that dogs must be kept on a leash, most people let their dogs run free. The beauty of this park is that owners pick up after their dogs, and dogs are amazingly friendly toward other dogs and people, perhaps because it is a tiny park and owners are near by. The park is primarily made up of grass, with walkways and numerous trees. At the top of the hill, there is a fenced-in baseball pitch, two fenced-in kiddie playgrounds, and fenced-in BBQ places.

This winery, which is operated by a husband and couple, has a pleasant, friendly, inviting ambiance, as well as lovely surroundings and great wines. While you enjoy samples and chatting with their kind and knowledgeable wine consultants, dogs are allowed to sit at your feet.

Certain portions of Samuel P. Taylor State Park are dog-friendly. This state park's lone dog-friendly trail is the Cross Marin Trail cycling path. The Point Cabrillo Light Station State Historic Park in Mendocino is a pet-friendly destination. You and Fido can stroll along the half-mile seaside route to the 1909 lighthouse. You don't have to leave Petzooie outdoors once you arrive at the ancient building; they can go inside with you and browse around. The park is open from sunrise to sunset every day of the week.

This dog-friendly winery, which is part of the Madera Wine Trail, produces award-winning Syrah, which you may try during a tasting. From birth to finish, organically cultivated grapes ensure a high-quality experience.

Some pet-friendly campgrounds and day-use areas can be found at Sue-Meg State Park. Dogs are not permitted on the beaches or paths of this one-square-mile park, which is surrounded by shrubs. If you want to come on a specific day, you should call the park directly to find out when they open.
