Dog Park Locations

The San Dimas Dog Park, located at Horsethief Canyon Park, is a one-acre area where dogs can run free. This park is lovely, and there are benches where pet parents can rest and relax while their dogs run around in the wide fenced-in area. Small and large dogs have their own sections.

Thousands of dogs (and dog owners!) in Martinez are in need of a safe, open, public space to play, interact, and exercise. We are a group of Martinez residents who have been collaborating with Martinez City Council to create a beautiful dog park.

The Highlands Ranch Dog Park in Pittsburg, California, is an outdoor facility where dogs can exercise and socialize. Dog Parks, unlike other Contra Costa County public parks, allow dogs to be off-leash. The Dog Park not only provides wide spaces for exercise, but it also allows canines to mingle with one another.

Concord Community Park is a 30-acre park located near to El Monte School on the north side of Cowell Road, between Hale Drive and Sheridan Road.

The PAW Patch is a fenced-in area where dogs can run and play off-leash. In a peaceful creek-side setting with huge oak trees, there is one reservable group picnic place. The vantage point is graced by a Vietnam War Memorial.

The 126-acre Newhall Community Park is located east of Treat Boulevard along Galindo Creek. Turtle Creek Road or Newhall Parkway, south of Clayton Road, provide access. The park is bisected by Galindo Creek.

The 18-acre John F. Baldwin Park is located north of Bonifacio Street and east of Port Chicago Highway, with a Beach Street entrance.

Perimeter fence, double-gate entry, division between large and small dog spaces, a water fountain, chairs, and waste bag dispensers are all included in the 0.25-acre ADA accessible dog park. On March 22, 2014, the dog park officially opened.

This 104-acre recreation park is excellent for outdoor events such as family or corporate meetings, festivals, and major sporting activities, and is named after basketball Hall of Famer Earvin "Magic" Johnson. Beautiful fishing lakes, open green space, and a popular walking trail are the park's main attractions.
