Dog Park Locations

On one of the dog-friendly Monterey Bay Whale Watch boats, you can share a one-of-a-kind whale-watching experience with your canine buddy. This tour company, which is open all year, has the highest success rate in the area for whale and dolphin sightings. Each boat tour is led by skilled and experienced marine scientists and is piloted by captains with over 20 years of experience. Gray, Humpback, Killer, and Blue Whales, as well as dolphins, porpoises, sea otters, seals, and sea lions, can all be seen depending on the season.

Bring Petzooie on a leash to this popular site to appreciate the beauty of coastal California. Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove, California, is a one-mile stretch of rocky coves and sandy beach. The Asilomar Coast Trail, a one-mile coast walking trail, is open to pedestrians. Enjoy a day spent surrounded by nature by exploring the forest, the seashore, or the Dune Boardwalk with your dog. Dogs are allowed on the state beach and the coast trail, but they must be leashed at all times and under the handler's direct control.

Cap Homme and Ralph Adams Park, located in Palm Desert, California, is a dog-friendly park with multi-use pathways, picnic facilities, and an off-leash dog area for Petzooie.

Hermon Area in the Arroyo Seco Dog Park is an off-leash park close to Northeast Los Angeles' historic Arroyo Seco. The park is divided into two sections, one for large dogs and the other for small, aged, or crippled dogs. A double-gated entry, trees, chairs, and water dispensers for the dogs are among the amenities. The park is open from dawn to dark every day.

Avila Beach is the tiniest of the beaches in Avila and Port San Luis Harbor, and locals refer to it as Dog Beach. Before 10 a.m. and after 5 p.m., dogs are allowed off-leash and under voice command on Avila Beach.

Dogs must be on a leash. Start traveling south on Highway 1 from Big Sur, and keep an eye out for Sycamore Road. The beach is slightly over 2 miles down Sycamore Road. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle.

Arroyo Verde Park, located near Foothill and Day Road in Ventura, welcomes leashed dogs. There are 14 acres of open grass spaces, picnic sites, a nature center, hiking trails, restrooms, and children's play places spread over 132 acres of very mountainous country.

The Point Isabel Regional Shoreline welcomes pets. Every year, nearly half a million dogs visit the park, which has over 23 acres to explore off-leash. Bay fishing, hiking, birdwatching, motorcycling, and jogging are just a few of the activities available at the park. Any person who allows their dog or other animal to be off leash must have a leash (maximum of six feet), keep their dog or other animal under voice control and within sight at all times, clean up after their dog, immediately leash any dog that shows aggression, and prevent dogs from digging or otherwise damaging park resources.

Almaden Quicksilver County Park offers a glimpse into California's mining past. With relics from the late nineteenth century, you may take a look back at the mining operations of the time. In addition, springtime brings one of the region's most beautiful wildflower displays. Your pet can also enjoy approximately 34.2 kilometers of hiking paths. Picnic tables are strewn across the park. Fishing is also available, although the fish are dangerous to eat due to mercury buildup in the reservoirs. Handlers must be at least 16 years old and your dog must be on a 6' leash. Only two dogs per handler are allowed. Pet care and cleanup are the responsibility of the owners. Aggression is not allowed in this environment.All dogs must be current on their licenses, rabies-vaccinated, and not in heat.
