Dog Park Locations

This 1.25-acre enclosed park, which has a separate little dog section, is perfect for licensed Santa Monica pups to play off-leash. Non-residents can get a temporary permit. Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we are closed for maintenance.

Gum Grove Park is a ten-acre oasis that is one of the area's largest and greatest dog parks. It is completely enclosed, with water and dog bags available at the Avalon entrance. There are two parking spaces for park visitors: the main entrance is on Avalon, and the second, smaller entry is off of Seal Beach Blvd on Herone Pointe. This park features an old closed main road running through it at the bottom, as well as many great trails branching off on the sloping hill above. The Hellman Trail, which is about a quarter mile north of the trailhead, is well worth a trek. Keep your dog on a leash at all times, as municipal leash rules are always in effect.

This enclosed dog park, which includes a separate section for smaller pets, is ideal for off-leash play for your pet. Every Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., the Dog Park closes for routine maintenance.

Trees of Mystery is a pleasant tourist stop with a big Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, a gift store, a Native American Museum, redwood "oddities and examples of developing patterns," and, last but not least, their very good sky tram that takes you up through the redwoods to a lookout. Up top, there are stunning views of the ocean, as well as redwoods and wildlife. You can even take your dog on the tram, as well as the trails and into the buildings (they will lend you a leash).

Camarillo Grove Dog Park in Camarillo, California, has fully fenced off-leash areas for Petzooie, and the entire park is off-leash Monday through Friday. Dogs are only allowed off-leash in the dog park on weekends. A dog water fountain, a separate area for tiny dogs with artificial grass, a toy fire hydrant, and waste bags are all available at the park. The picnic table and benches will be appreciated by humans.

This enclosed dog park in Corona, California, is a nice location for your dog to run around and play off-leash. Restrooms, picnic tables, and water features are all close for visitors.

The Arts District Dog Park is a modest, non-profit dog park with distinct spaces for tiny and nervous canines. The park is run entirely by community volunteers.
