Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park

This beautiful park spans 290 acres and features wooded canyons, rivers, and climbing trails. On-leash pets are accepted.

This new off-leash park is fenced in and has separate spaces for large and little dogs, as well as benches, trash bags, and nearby restrooms.

Only leashed dogs are permitted at the Tourist Club Oakland Branch.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Shepherd Canyon as one of 1600 rail-trails it supports. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Oakland! The Shepherd Canyon can be accessed via the trailhead shown on the map below.

Pets are permitted to play off-leash in the undeveloped portions of this gorgeous regional park, or they can be leashed for a walk along the lovely paved canyon paths.
