Shepherd Canyon(Montclair Railroad Trail)

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a countrywide network of trails from abandoned rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Shepherd Canyon as one of 1600 rail-trails it supports. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Oakland! The Shepherd Canyon can be accessed via the trailhead shown on the map below.
