Dog Park Locations

Bring your tiny dog to this fenced-in area near the primary school for some off-leash fun. There is a double-gated entrance, a picnic bench, and shade trees in the park.

Memorial Park Dog Run is a tiny, enclosed dog run on the west side of Memorial Park, north of the tennis courts, where pets are permitted to play off-leash. A temporary permission or a Santa Monica license is necessary. Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the run is closed for maintenance.

Small and large dogs can play off-leash in separate areas at the Uptown Dog Park. The enclosed area is close to a parking lot and picnic sites.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Rose Canyon Bicycle Path, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. The Dog Park is located in Harry Griffen Park and consists of three different gated areas: one for tiny dogs and two for dogs of all sizes. Water, picnic tables, clean-up bags, and scoopers are provided in each enclosure. At the entrance to the dog park, there is a water fountain. Visitors to the park can unwind in the covered seating areas. In Harry Griffen Park, dogs must be leashed until they enter the Dog Park. There is plenty of parking and it is ADA-compliant. There are three fully gated areas at Phoenix Dog Park: one for large dogs, one for little and timid dogs, and one for senior dogs, dogs recovering from injuries, and dogs who are less socialized. There are also water bowls, trees, a garbage station, and benches in the park.
