Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Sacramento Northern Bike Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Sacramento! Granite Park Dog Park in Sacramento is a large dog park located behind the courthouses. There's grass and dirt here, as well as plenty of open space and benches in a small covered area for sitting.
