Bannon Creek Dog Park

This two-acre fully-fenced dog park also contains water spigots, shade trees, benches, and grass, giving dogs plenty of freedom to run.

The California State Railroad Museum does not allow dogs inside, but Petzooie can accompany you on the paved track and assist you in exploring the vintage locomotives outside. They are open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the week.

Enjoy a stroll with your dog past historic buildings, stores, the railway station, and the Sacramento River. There are a few quick food establishments with outside tables as well.

Small pets are invited to accompany you on a picturesque horse-drawn carriage journey around historic Sacramento.

Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization working to establish a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and linking corridors, supports the Sacramento River Parkway Trail, which is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by the group. This "rail-trail," which was once an abandoned railroad line, is now a terrific spot to walk Petzooie in Sacramento!
