One of the earliest no-kill shelters in the San Antonio region, Casi started rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs in 1982. On property George Ammeman kindly gave, our shelter was constructed using contributions, volunteers, and a lot of labor. More than 20,000 defenseless, unloved, abandoned, ill, and lost animals have passed through our doors since then.
