Cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens are given a temporary, safe home by FUR BABY RESCUE. Our animals are rescued from high kill shelters, the streets of south Los Angeles, and families who are no longer able to care for them the majority of the time.

Since 1955, our grassroots organization has been preventing pet overpopulation in Southern California. We offer low-income pet owners financial assistance for spay/neuter procedures, humane education in the neighborhood, support for legislation that safeguards animals, and services for animal adoption and rescue.

In a word, we are a small group of volunteers who work on this project on our own time and with our own money, always keeping the dogs' best interests in mind. Since we started sharing photographs and videos in 2013, which helped thousands of dogs find good permanent homes, we have learnt SO much.
