The majority of the dogs we take in are small breed seniors, disabled, and otherwise unadoptable canines. We get them as healthy as we can, train them, and place them in suitable families for adoption.

When the neighborhood's animal shelter closed in 2009, The Valley Center Animal League, Inc. was established. Initially, we wanted to stop seized animals from being taken to the Wichita Animal Shelter after three days.

The non-profit animal rescue and adoption kennel Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection, Inc. (LAPP) is situated in Wichita, Kansas. Animals have been abandoned, mistreated, or had their ownership forfeited have been saved thanks to the efforts and hearts of volunteers.
